It all kicked off last year, when the Brightside team has begun a mission to evolve from just a normal dental practice to something more. Slowly and steady we have gotten involved in different causes helping out a variety of charities in London and around the globe.
We commenced by working with B1G1 – a foundation of considerable proportion that administers charities all over the world. Each month we make regular payments to certain causes such as impoverished families and growing children in poor regions of Asia.
Starting the month of April we have made another promise through our collaboration with B1G1 to contribute with school supplies for children in Nepal for every new client that signs up to receive dental care here at the practice. In the month of April this year we gave 12 children the necessary stationery to help them with their studies.
We carry out a waiting time audit at the end of each month and for every client who is kept waiting for more than 10 minutes we give £5 to our charity of the month or £10 if they were kept waiting more than 20 minutes, without a valid reason. That’s why we always ask our clients to make sure they arrive on time for their appointments as just a few minutes can have a knock-on effect on a number of people.
We even give the chance to everyone who comes to see us to be part of the giving process with not much effort. Every time our clients schedule an appointment with our dental hygienist, we give out bricks to families in India or school supplies for children in Nepal.
With the help of our clients who continue seeing us we supported 145 families in India and 313 children in Nepal last month (April 2013).
