See How Dental Implants Changed Trevor\u2019s Life | Real Patient Story\" width=\"660\" height=\"371\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7m6ck-iPxpc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>July\u2019s Smile of the Month is here, and it\u2019s a really special one, because in one story, it encapsulates so much about the Brightside ethos and way of doing things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The hero of the story?&nbsp; Trevor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trevor first came to us having avoided visiting the dentist for 8 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The reason?&nbsp; Fear.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sadly, Trevor had had bad experiences in the past, leaving him with a real phobia of needles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over time, his teeth had deteriorated, with a number of them broken, but the fear was real, present and stopping him from getting the help he needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brightsidedental.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Dental-Implants-Brightside-Dental-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"664\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.brightsidedental.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Dental-Implants-Brightside-Dental-1-664x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2664\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.brightsidedental.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Dental-Implants-Brightside-Dental-1-664x1024.jpg 664w, https:\/\/www.brightsidedental.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Dental-Implants-Brightside-Dental-1-194x300.jpg 194w, https:\/\/www.brightsidedental.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Dental-Implants-Brightside-Dental-1.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 664px) 100vw, 664px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>But then, one day, he smiled at his granddaughter, and she ran away from him, and this was the catalyst Trevor needed to take action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Having seen a video from one of our former nervous patients about her experience with Brightside, he had confidence that we understood his situation and would look after him, so he got in touch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just a few days later, he was in the practice, having a detailed assessment with our oral surgeon Shahrokh, and together they came up with a treatment plan, deciding to remove Trevor\u2019s few remaining teeth that were failing.
