What To Expect When Coming To See Us

We aim to make your visit as pleasurable and as comfortable as possible. You will be sent a New Client Pack containing information about the practice and services you may be interested in, along with forms which can be completed in the comfort of your own home in advance of your visit.

On the day of your visit, you have the option of free parking if driving , if you're cycling we have a bicycle rack just outside the front entrance and are a one minute walk from Bounds Green tube station. Then as you arrive, you will be greeted by our friendly reception team. We are all a happy bunch and ready to help with anything you might need.

You will then be invited to have a seat in the client lounge area where you can complete any information we require of you, relax, read a magazine or enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. Your dentist and nurse will come and meet you shortly.

As you enter the treatment room you will have an initial chat with the dentist regarding your overall health and your oral health. You will be asked to sit comfortable in your seat and together the nurse dentist will explain step by step how the 30 point oral health assessment will be conducted. It mainly consists of:

1. A check of outside the head and neck – the muscles and glands
2. An observation of all of the tissues inside the mouth
3. A computerized digital record of all of the teeth present in the mouth, any past treatment and anything might needed in the future
4. A gum health assessment
5. Checking the jaw joints for clicking and crunching
6. Verifying the bite
7. Taking any X-rays needed to help see in between teeth and inside the teeth
8. A photographic record of your mouth if required

At the end you will be informed of all of the options you might have for treatment along with an accurate idea of the cost involved and be given the opportunity to ask any questions you may have and choose what's best for you. We may suggest a further appointment with you to discuss your treatment options, so that the dentist can schedule time in advance to prepare a bespoke plan for you

A member of our reception team will then schedule any further appointments at times that are suitable for you and arrange to take any payments.

Total investment for 30 Point Oral Health Assessment is £125.
