Teeth whitening is one of the quickest cosmetic treatments we offer. No drilling, no needles, and results you’ll actually notice.

At Brightside Dental, we use clinically proven whitening systems that go deeper than any over-the-counter kit.

Whether you’re getting ready for a wedding, a big occasion, or just want to feel more like yourself when you smile, we’ll give you an honest picture of what’s achievable before you commit to anything.

Our Whitening Treatments

Enlighten Evolution Premium Whitening – Guaranteed B1

Enlighten is our flagship whitening system and the one we recommend most. It’s the only whitening treatment that guarantees a B1 shade result – the brightest end of the natural tooth spectrum, for every patient, regardless of your starting colour.

The Process Is Straightforward

1) We take a digital scan and make custom-fitted whitening trays for you

2) You wear them at home each night for two to four weeks using the Enlighten gel

3) You attend a review to assess the results and advise of aftercare to maintain your new smile

The result is a bright, even white that looks natural rather than artificial.

Professional Home Whitening Trays

Prefer A More Gradual Approach?

Our home tray system uses the same custom made trays, but at a pace that suits you. Most patients see a clear difference within a few days, with full results over three to four weeks.

Once you have your trays, you can top up any time using gel from the practice.

Is Whitening Right For You?

Whitening works on natural enamel only. It won’t change the shade of crowns, veneers, bridges or white fillings. If you have visible restorations, we’ll flag this at consultation and help you think through the best approach.

It’s not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, and isn’t suitable for patients under 18.

Any active decay or gum disease will be treated first – that’s standard practice and it means your results will last longer.

Frequently Asked Questions

How white will my teeth get?

With Enlighten, every patient reaches B1. With home tray whitening, results depend on your starting shade and how consistently you use the trays.

What About Sensitive Teeth?

Some patients experience mild, temporary sensitivity during whitening. It’s very common and it settles quickly.

We’ll advise you on how to minimise it, and there’s no pressure to rush through anything. If you have concerns, ask us before you start. Our team will talk you through everything at your own pace.

How long do results last?

A year or more with good habits. Tea, coffee, red wine and smoking all contribute to re-staining. A top-up every 6-12 months keeps things looking their best.

Will it hurt?

No. Some people get mild sensitivity during treatment – this is temporary and manageable. There are no needles and no drilling involved at any point.
Can I whiten if I have fillings or a crown?

Whitening gel only works on natural tooth enamel. If you have fillings or crowns in visible areas, we’ll discuss this with you at consultation.
