Smile of the Month – ABC for a beautifully balanced smile
If you’ve read anything about cosmetic dentistry, there’s a good chance you’ve come across “ABC” treatment, and if you’re wondering what it is, I’ve got good news – not only will we explain in this email, but we’ll give you a great real-life example of it.
ABC stands for Align, Bleach and Composite Bonding; three steps to improve the health and aesthetics of your smile, and our lovely patient Angelie is the perfect ABC graduate.
Angelie first came to us with concerns about her crooked lower teeth, and was also hoping to brighten the overall colour of her smile.
After a thorough consultation with Dr Minal Shah, a bespoke treatment plan was created, tailored to her goals.
- The journey began with alignment, using Invisalign treatment to gently straighten her teeth while ensuring no heavy contacts on the front teeth – an important step to prevent tooth wear in the future and help to protect Angelie’s teeth for life.
- Once her teeth were beautifully aligned, we moved on to the second phase: bleaching, more commonly known as whitening. This step helped us achieve a brighter, more radiant smile that perfectly complemented her features.
- For the final touch, we used composite bonding to subtly reshape Angelie’s lateral incisors – the teeth on either side of the two upper front teeth. This small yet impactful adjustment improved the symmetry of Angelie’s smile, bringing everything together seamlessly.
The result? As you can see for yourself, Angelie has a fresh, natural, and confident smile that truly lights up the room, and it really was as simple as ABC.
